DALLAS MORNING NEWS

The Academy’s annual appearances are a highlight of the Festival.

We move from George Walker’s pastoral and touching memorial to his grandmother, via Stravinsky’s energetic Bach-inspired concerto, to the lush and lyrical Serenade by Tchaikovsky. At the heart of the programme is the last major work Mozart completed, his Clarinet Concerto, famous for the ecstatic beauty of its slow movement where he manages to make time stand still.

The perfect launch to our autumn series.
