Jordi Savall and his trio performed a programme entitled East Meets West in Trinity College Chapel in February 2023. The Times review gave it five stars:
“Savall shaded and sculpted the long, singing lines of Sephardic laments, Berber dances, Armenian niceties and Byzantine knees-ups with an awesomely subtle touch”.
